LONDON -(Dow Jones)- The president of General Motors Corp.'s (GM) European division, Carl-Peter Forster, said Monday he expects sales of the revamped Opel Corsa model to reach around 375,000 next year.
Speaking at an event for the presentation of the new Corsa, Forster said this year the old and new Corsa generation will reach sales of around 300,000 cars.
Forster said he expects revenue per car to be higher than for the previous model.
The starting price for the new Corsa will be "below EUR11,000."
The new Corsa model is being produced in GM's plants in Zaragossa, Spain, and Eisenach, Germany, and is scheduled to arrive at dealerships in October.
